This FREE class gives you the "gut check" you need to decide if you have what it takes to be a responsibly armed American. This 2 hour course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearm ownership, We discuss Virginia's Child Access Prevention (CAP) laws, safe gun storage, open carry vs concealed carry, situational awareness, the use of deadly force, non-lethal options, how it all applies to home and self-defense, and so much more. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of completion. This class does NOT qualify for a Concealed Carry Permit. 

Classes Held: 06/21, 07/19

Concealed Carry Course is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. This four hour course is a complete guide to understanding Weapon Safety & Ownership, the carrying of a weapon and responsibility of handling the weapon at all times. This class also includes live fire at the local range. We will cover conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training. Students will leave the course with the required certificate and instructions to submit their Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit application to the Circuit Court in their city.
